Tournament News

Congratulations to the CISCO-Scottsdale U-8 Boys Black team, who won the Salvation Army Christmas Angel Tournament.  Well Done!

Congratulations to Coach Orhan Kraja and the CISCO Scottsdale
U-8 Black team for winning the Kick For the Cure Tournament. Great job!
CISCO Scottsdale U8 Black

For a definitive championship victory, truly deserving congratulations go out to the CISCO Black '00 Girls for their undefeated Ahwatukee Soccer Fest Tournament win in the Girls U-10 Premier Division.
CISCO 2000 Girls Black
Coach Daryl Chavez started the tournament by augmenting his roster slightly with 4 girls from the CISCO White '00 squad; a move that offered the Black team a few substitutions and the opportunity for some White players to play with their sister team. This is an example of true CISCO camaraderie. The team proceeded to accumulate 13 goals in 4 matches, 3 of which were shutouts, including the 3-0 championship over host Ahwatukee, while allowing only a single goal for the weekend.
3-1,3-0,4-0,3-0...very impressive ladies. All of CISCO is proud of you. You set a great example for what team work, determination, and tremendous leadership in coach Chavez, can accomplish. Keep up the good work.

Congratulations to the U-18 CISCO Black '92 Boys for winning the prestigious U-19 Flight 1 North Huntington Beach (NHB) Tournament!
CISCO 92B NHB Champions
A tremendous effort was made by all the boys to accomplish this feat. 6 games of stiff competition throughout the weekend culminated in a championship game against FC United, the 2009 So Cal State Champion and Region IV Finalist. While posting 3 goals in the final, the most in any of their games all weekend, CISCO fended off a very technical FC United side in its 3-1 victory. Assistant coach Omid Aziminejad led the team to their first 4 victories while acclimating guest coach David Ludwig
(pictured) who took the helm for the semi-final and championship matches to aid proud coaches Dominick Bussanich, Aziminejad, and Christine Bussanich with their college coaching obligations. What a fantastic way to start the season! Good for you boys.

Indoor Champs!

U-19 State Cup Championship! The 2008 Far West Region IV Champions and National 3rd Place finisher, will travel to Lancaster, CA in search of a repeat performance at the regional competition. CISCO has tremendous pride in coach Omid Aziminejad and his assistants pictured, Roberto Beall, David Ludwig, and Shlomi Ozalvo, and in particular the long legacy these boys have blessed us with over the years. Congratulations again boys, and thank you all.

Toros

Congratulations
CISCO SC would like to congratulate Jon Pearman, Adrian Saldana, Mike D'Arrigo and Colin  Anderson, who recently were selected to play for Real Salt Lake in the prestigious U-18 World Club Cup in Madrid, Spain.  Some of the teams in this international tournament included: Barcelona, Real Madrid, Boca Juniors, Partizan, CA Penarol, Werder Bremen and Sao Paulo FC, just to name a few.  The team had a fine showing in large part due to the efforts of the aforementioned players.  Pearman, Saldana, D'Arrigo and Anderson are members of the CISCO '91 Black (Dragons) team that won the Arizona State Championship and will be competing in the US Regional Championships in Lancaster, CA. beginning June 15th.  Well done, lads!  The entire club is proud of you!
